Tiles to honor heritage, families, memories and more
As part of its fundraising efforts and to provide an opportunity for citizens and visitors to participate in the Museum’s future, a unique
“Wall of History” is being planned for display in the Museum.
The Wall will be filled with tiles which bear photographs of families, homes, fond memories and other heritage images. Cost for the tiles is $100 for the first one, $75 for others placed in the same order. If you make separate orders the price returns to $100 for the first on & $75 for each additional tile in the order.
Or you can fill out an order form on this website and send a scan of your image. Scans must be at least 300 dpi.
This will be an on-going project, until the Wall reaches capacity.
In addition to the online order form tiles can be ordered by mail (Swannanoa Valley Museum, PO Box 306, Black Mountain, NC 28711), email please enclose with your photos or paste a copy of your PayPal receipt in the body of the email with your pictures.
Acceptable photo formats: Photos may be mailed, emailed or brought to us on floppy disk, CD-Rom, or hard copy photo paper. Please note that a digital image will have a nicer, more detailed look than a scanned photograph. We accept .jpeg and .tif file formats at 300 dpi or higher.
Please be certain that when mailing, emailing or dropping off a CD-Rom, floppy disk, or photograph that your name, as well as your family name, are clearly written and identified. Please include a phone number so that we can contact you with any questions. Orders will not be processed until full payment is received.
