The Swannanoa Valley Museum holds many events through out the year, to view

Swannanoa Rim ExplorerTM - The Swannanoa Rim encompasses the ridgelines of the upper Swannanoa Valley that surround Black Mountain. This exclusive program
will offer experienced hikers the opportunity to explore remote and little traveled territory while learning much about the history, geography, hydrology, and environment
of the Swannanoa Valley. Daycations - These monthly excursions are designed for people who are eager to discover the many natural and heritage treasures in Western North Carolina,
but who prefer not to hike to them. Regional Hikes - The Swannanoa Valley Museum sponsors monthly hikes to destinations in region. These hikes are not part of the Swannanoa Rim ExplorerTM
hikes. We have hikes and daycations suitable for all abilities. Please read through our hiking guidelines located in the red bar above to help choose your adventure. Please note that these events, dates, times and destinations are subject to change. Please call the Museum, 828-669-9566, or send an email
to register and confirm they are taking place. Refund Policy: For some of our events we require prepayment to reserve your space. You may pay this amount through PayPal, by sending a check to the museum at
PO Box 306, Black Mountain, NC, or by bringing cash to the museum during normal operating hours. Please let us now as soon as possible if you can no longer
participate in an event you have signed up for. If you cancel 48 hours before an event is set to depart, you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel 48 hours to
one hour before the event you will receive an 80% refund to cover any cost we incurred planning for you to attend. If you are a no-show, you will not receive a
refund. (In some cases, you may transfer your prepayment to a future event, less the upfront cost to the museum.) Pet Policy: At this time pets (except service animals) are not allowed on any of our hikes or daycations.
