Just For Kids

Summer Day Camp

For children entering 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grades
June 23-27, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For millennia, the Swannanoa Valley has been a pathway for animals, Native Americans, Revolutionary War soldiers, pioneers and immigrant settlers, traders and tourists. During this exciting week, our campers will explore these pathways on field trips to places where this history happened.

Campers provide their own sack lunches; the museum will serve snacks and drinks. Children under 4’9” must bring and use appropriate car seats. Field trips may include swimming, hiking, and outdoor play, so plan to dress accordingly and bring suits and towels as needed. Space is limited to 20 campers, and adult volunteers willing to drive are needed. Camp fee is waived for children of adult volunteers. Cost for the week is $130, and includes entry fees to visited attractions.
